About Us

The EdTech MBA Community was founded in 2021 to organize and gather graduate students to take action on their interest in the growing field of education technology. Since its inception, the community has grown into a strong community of 1200+ students from top business schools and graduate programs globally. These community members represent the leaders of tomorrow and come from a wealth of professional experiences across all corners of the globe.

With the annual EdTech Trek and thought-provoking fireside chats and panels, the community enables students to interact with top edtech innovators and leaders. Through these events, students are propelled to commit their careers to power the future of the edtech industry.

In February 2021 and 2022, we hosted the annual EdTech Trek, a multi-day virtual speaker series with top EdTech executives, such as Arne Duncan (Former US Secretary of Education), Multiverse’s CEO, Dreambox Learning’s CEO, Duolingo’s CPO, Chegg’s CEO, Masterclass’s CEO, Owl Venture’s Managing Director, and Handshake’s Chief Strategy Officer. The inaugural 2021 trek happened when the community had less than 350 students but had 245+ students attend. The 2022 trek had 500+ students attend.

The community is also a space for employers to tap into a talented pool of individuals passionate about edtech. Across the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 EdTech MBA Fellowships, the EdTech MBA Community matched 60+ graduate students to edtech employers. Students from top programs like Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Wharton have worked on mission-critical projects at startups and growth-stage edtech companies.

We want to build on this success and expand our reach to more graduate students globally to further our mission of connecting the EdTech world for impact.

Our mission is to foster a community of students who are passionate about the edtech industry, and equip them with the tools, resources, and connections they need to be successful.
